Cheap quote for home contents insurance for tenants in common.?

Q) A friend and I have recently purchased a flat together as tenants in common. We only need home contents insurance. Buildings insurance is joint with other flats in the block. Our current quote is £25 per month with Nationwide. We would like to know other companies who offer this type of insurance to see if we can get it any cheaper. n.b Confused.com does not allow tenants in common in their search. Thanks Mark

A) Hi mark, Im a tenant in common and have insurance with Nationwide. I am not aware if TIC differs from other policies, married couples, for example. After all, its only the contents that are being insured.

What's your best car insurance quote? I'm with Budget at the mo, (ending in Sept) .....?

Q) paid £314 fully comp with business use (got 7 years no claims bonus and 3 points on my liscense for speeding which shouldn't be counted now cos was back in 2003) Went on moneysupermarket.com and Budget gave me a quote for £177, still all the same details so why the £137 price difference? you can bet my renewel quote will be rubbish, it only dropped by £40 last year but couldn't be bothered with the hassle of paying new company deposit etc. What site would you recommend for cheap insurance? other than Confused.com Sorry this ended up being really long winded. insurance is for a '95 Rover 414.

A) First of all - you will have to declare your speeding for another year (it takes 5 years to be spent) Secondly - Budget are notorious in the industry for adding fees onto renewal letters - you probably have to pay a £20 renewal fee and £25.00 for legal expenses and if you pay by instalments an additional £30 for that! I suspect that: a) The quote online is for pleasure use with a high excess or assumes other factors. Alternatively the quote may be through a different company with which Budget have an agency and Budget haven't bothered to check the market on your behalf. b) They won't charge an admin fee for new business c) They probably throw in the legal expenses free (it only costs them a pound! I would look in the telephone directlry and find a local insurance broker - they will have the same agencies as Budget and you are far more likely to get a better service from them - all of which counts as well as the price.

Cheap Car Insurance?

Q) I am 34 and have had a valid UK full Licence for over 2 years now. I had my wife as the second driver who had her UK Full licence for less than a year. She has a small accident as she hit a parked car when parking in narrow street. The insurance then climbed up from 330 to 600 Pounds. We lost our no claims bonus too. Our insuarnce is again coming up for renewal and when I enter all the details, we dont get any quote cheaper than 450 pounds. My wife is just 1 yr younger than me. Do you know of any insurance website which could gives us a quote in the range of 300 pounds for a 02 ford fiesta (old shape)??

A) try esure

Trying to get cheaper insurance?

Q) I have got a few quotes for insurance from places like confused.com and moneysupermarket.com also I have tried a few companies what are not listed on their but the cheapest quote I got was from moneysupermarket.com . I wanted to ask if their are any websites were I could put in my best quote that I have and see if they can beat it. Maybe some brokers websites or something like that. Also I wanted to know if I get a quote from moneysupermarket.com can I get the price of that down buy ringing the company who give me the best quote and tell them that I have an alarm fitted. As on the moneysupermarket.com website they don't have anything were you can put in that you have an alarm fitted. If I can do this what info do I need to send to the insurance company to prove that I have the alarm fitted. Before taking the car insurance out I am going to fit an alarm to the car but can you suggest any good alarms which are not to expensive. Should I look for a thatcham 1 or 2 category.

A) I work for a broker, and the best way to get the insurance quite down is to add an older named driver to your policy for infrequent use. i would reccomend ringing an insurance broker becuase they can always apply discount, or remove admin fee, or price match.. where as on the internet all the fees are inclueded and you cannot remove them. I would recommend any approved thatcham cat 1alarm and immobiliser as you get a bigger discount. some companies ask for proof of fitment if you have had it professionally fitted, (or if it is not fitted as standard), either send the copy of the recipt, or a copy of the certificate of fitment (most good immobilisers come with fitment certificates anyway) .... Clifford are the best on the market at the moment, and they are not too expensive either. hope this helps ; )

Looking For Cheaper Car Insurance Quotes?

Q) I am trying to beat my best quote so far and I wanted to ask if anyone knew of anyone I could try or some brokers who could get the price down a bit for me. Here are my circumstances. 18 years old Full licence for 9 months 0 NCB Live in east sussex no claims or convictions car is kept in a locked garage looking for upto 4000 annual mileage will be using car for pleasure and commuting My car is an Renault megane coupe 1.6e sport My best quote so far I got from moneysupermarket which is £1560 and that was from swinton. I just wanted to ask If their was anyone I could try, like good brokers who might be able to get that quote down a bit. I am really looking at no more than £1400 . It doesn't matter how big or small they are I will give anyone a try. I have tried most of the major companies but none of them come close to my best quote so far. Also is it worth putting my best quote down when filling in online forms. Does it make any difference?

A) A couple of quick tips for bringing down your quote are: 1. get an experienced driver to go on the policy as a named driver (but not to 'front' the policy for you, with you as a named driver). Don't ask me why that works, but apparently it sometimes does. 2. take the Pass Plus test. It'll cost around £100, your local council might subsidise that though, but even if not the discount some insurers will give you will make it worthwhile. See here: http://www.passplus.org.uk/insurers.asp 3. Slap as many security devices as you can on the car, like an approved steering wheel bar or cover. Presuming it already has an alarm / immobiliser. Also there are two specialist insurers you can try: Adrian Flux, for 'high risk' drivers at http://www.adrianflux.co.uk and Bell Direct for drivers with zero NCB at http://www.bell.co.uk Finally, see if you can play a couple of insurers off against each other, taking one's best offer to the other and finally offering to 'buy right now' for a further discount once one won't go any lower. What do you recommend for cheap car insurance for a young driver?

Q) I am 18 and passed my test 3 weeks ago today when i was 17! I have a Ford Fiesta 1.1 N reg! I have done my pass plus too! The best quote i have found is £967 and that is without telling them i have done my pass plus! It was also for third party fire and theft! Can someone recommend a cheap insurance company please! Many thanks By the way that was with direct line!

A) ensliegh its for young drivers

Why is my insurance so expensive?

Q) I am looking to buy an hyundai coupe 1.6 auto and I am wondering why all my insurance quotes are so expensive. These are my details. 18 years old 0 NCB Full Licence held for 8 months Only need up to 4000 miles a year car is worth £2000 Will use it for Leisure and commuting Only need Third Party Fire Theft Live in the South east, in east sussex I have been speaking to a few people who own these also and they are getting much cheaper quoted than I am getting and they need more than me like they have a 2 litre, 10,000 miles, newer model car like 2002, car is worth more. As an example a person I have been talking to is also 18 and he has got a 2002, 2 litre and his car is worth £6500 and he has a quote for £1000 and that is fully comp. This is a group 10 insurance car. I am 18, I am looking at a 1997 1.6 which is worth £2000 and my quote is £2400 from the same company and mine is a group 9 insurance. I can't seem to figure out why my quote is way above theirs. The car will be garaged, I don't have any claims or convictions, I just don't understand how a person with similar circumstances to me but has a bigger engine, needs more annual mileage, fully comp cover and their car is worth 3 times what mine is worth can get insurance cheaper than me and much cheaper at that. Even if I do live in a more risky area ( I don't know if I do or not ) surely I should still be getting somewhere near their quote seeing as though I have am the same age, older car, not worth as much, only need Third party fire and theft. I require much less and am getting quoted £1400 more than them now surely I can't be paying that just for my area. If anyone is in the insurance business and knows what could be wrong I would like to hear from you.

A) A big reason is your age, but could also be where you live, as maybe car crime is high in the region? Try www.confused.com to search for the cheapest quote online. It's really good, and i managed to get £80 off my car insurance renewal quote! Good luck.

i need a brand new car with a cheap insurance quote for a 21 year old girl?

Q) I have been trying to get a brand new car but these insurance prices are too high and my credit is not good. What will be good for me drive with a low insurance rate????

A) If you want a dirt cheap insurance price then get a 1985 or older Honda Accord or some other economy vehicle. In most cases, the less expensive the car is to buy, the less expensive it is to insure. In addition, domestic vehicles are usually less expensive to insure as are 4 door cars, 4 cylinder motors and minivans. According to leading car retailers, these cost the least to insure in the first 5 years of ownership: Chrysler PT Cruiser 4dr Wagon GMC Safari SLE AWD 3dr Minivan Dodge Caravan SE 4dr Minivan Saturn ION 1 4dr Sedan Pontiac Sunfire 2dr Coupe Jeep Liberty Sport 4WD 4dr SUV Saturn L300 1 4dr Sedan Volvo S40 4dr Sedan Saab 38600 Linear 2.3t 4dr SportWagon Buick Century Special Edition 4dr Sedan Cheap car insurance is best found by investing time, educating yourself and comparison shopping. Many online websites are designed to be an invaluable resource for insurance shoppers like you in this process. One of the top websites is InsureMe. Go to: http://www.insureme.com/landing.aspx?Refby=614506&Type=auto. You can get up to five insurance quotes from insurance agents who can help you make the best decision regarding your insurance. Once again, shop around, get multiple quotes, and learn all you can about a policy before you buy car insurance.

were can i get an auto insurance quote for cars PRE 1981?

Q) i am thinking of buying either a 1965 mustang a 1969 mustang a 1970 mustang or a 1965-69 lincoln continental... and i wanted to get cheap insurance quotes.... but all the sites like progressive, geico, allstate only let you insure at lowest 81 any one know a good quote site

A) If you are going to be driving the car every day go back to Progressive. The site has a drop down box to pick Pre 81 or call Progressive and they will give you a quote over the phone. If you are going to be restoring it and only driving on a very occassional basis it can be insured on a collectors car policy. Try either www.grundy.com or www.hagerty.com. You need to check the rules that each company has regarding mileage and useage of the vehicles if you do insure them on this type of policy

Where can I Find Reliable Cheap Life Insurance Quotes?

Q) I recently started a home internet based business. When I was just starting out I went without insurance for a while. Now that things are going well I would like to buy a life insurance policy. There are a ton of life insurance sites, but most of them seem biased or focused on an individual provider. Where can I find a good life insurance quote site that is unbiased or gives me quotes from a wide array of services? Also, are there any good tips for saving money buying life insurance for small business owners?

A) As a life insurance agent who deals with insurance day in and day out I appreciate your frustrations from looking at thousands of insurance sites. My site http://www.smartlifeinsurancequotes.net addresses these issues. The following are five of the most common mistakes consumers make when buying life insurance. 1. Selecting term life insurance solely because it's cheap. Shopping for life insurance by just comparing premiums is asking for trouble. You should compare company ratings to determine financial strength and policy features, such as convertibility options. While the policy’s premium is certainly a factor, ensuring that your policy matches your financial goals is more important. 2. Not understanding that term life insurance is temporary. That's why it's called "term" insurance -- because you buy it for a set period of time, most commonly 20 years. This is fine for a temporary need, such as insuring yourself until your mortgage is paid off or funding your children’s college expenses in the event of your premature death. A 20-year level-term life insurance policy you bought when you were 30 would expire when you're only 50. At that point, you still might need to carry insurance, but your age and health conditions might make it impossible or very expensive to do so. At least, if your policy has a convertibility option you can get coverage, it just might be down right unaffordable. 3. Buying from a less-than-stable insurance company. Don’t be afraid to ask about an insurance company’s ratings. You can also look for an insurer’s Standard & Poor's, Moody's or A.M. Best ratings on the Internet. There are many insurance carriers with high financial ratings (A+ or better) so you shouldn’t have to buy insurance from a lower rated company. But, keep in mind that ratings can and will change, so ratings alone shouldn’t be your only consideration. 4. Buying life insurance coverage based on a set formula. You may have heard that a good rule of thumb is to buy life insurance coverage equal to 10 times your annual salary or 10 times your beneficiary's annual financial need. The idea is that if your surviving beneficiary invests the life insurance proceeds in the stock market (getting an average 10 percent annual return), they'll have a steady income stream and never need to tap the investment principal. While this formula isn't a bad place to start, everyone has different needs, so don’t assume that 10 times your salary is what you need to carry in life insurance. The best advice here is to sit down with a knowledgeable agent that will take the time to learn about your needs. 5. Failing to regularly review your policy. Is your former spouse still the beneficiary of your life insurance policy? Did you buy term insurance to cover you while you pay off your mortgage? If you refinanced during the latest rate drop and restarted the clock on your loan, you might also need to update your insurance term. Life definitely has a way of throwing changes your way. Just make sure your life insurance changes along with you. Also when shopping on the internet for insurance be careful of sites that are there purely as lead generators because these sites just sell your informations. But, there are plenty of legitamte and trustful site on the internet than one can purchase insurance. You can tell the good from the bad by taking these steps. 1- do not put information in a from unless you actually get a real quote. 2- look for site that have a phone number with real agents that answer the phone. 3-If the sites says get quotes from multiple agents then the site is selling your information as a lead service. Sites like http://www.smartlifeinsurancequotes.net can serve as an excellant resource to start your online life insurance shopping. They have agents that you can speak to or email. You can get quotes from over 140 companies with a robust data base. They are many sites like these but you have to do you research. Like anything else there is the good and bad and the internet is the best place to start your search. Good luck Insguy

whats the cheapest car insurance quote i got one for a rodeo 94 for 120 for full cov.?

A) It all depends on your driving record.....not to mention the limits you pick and your deductable, as well as whether or not you choose to have rental reimbursement, towing etc.

where can u get the cheapest car insurance quote on the net or by phone, or any means nessesary?

A) Cheapest? Each insurance company is different. Call a local agent who works with a lof of companies and they can find the cheapest for you. Granted, cheapest isn't the best. If you cause an accident, they won't pay a lot for the other people. And you'll also restricted other service things like claims or 24 hours service.

Where can I find, cheap reliable health insurance???

Q) I'm looking for a company that can provide cheap health insurance. I live in Ohio... I'm also looking for websites that provide reliable health insurance quotes....

A) First, I would make a list of what you are looking for in a health plan and then rank them or group them into categories based on priority. For example, are you more interested in plans that include regular doctor visits or plans that give you more freedom to visit the doctor you want to see? Managed care plans such as HMOs (home maintenance organizations) and PPOs (preferred provider organizations) include preventive care such as regular doctor visits but restrict whom you can see. Traditional fee-for-service (FFS) plans give you freedom to go where you’d like but usually do not cover routine doctor appointments. Just remember that lower monthly premiums don’t always translate into a cheaper insurance policy. If the plan does not cover what you need to cover, then you’ll still end up footing the bill. Moreover, plans with low premiums mean you might be able to afford the low monthly payment, but will you be able to afford the high deductible? If you’re in your twenties, you might want to check out the “Sound” set of plans from UniCare or the “Tonik” plans from Blue Cross Blue Shield. They have been hyped as offering coverage choices that young adults might be interested in. You also might want to see what Consumer Reports has to say about health plans. In a survey CR conducted last year, more people were satisfied with HMOs than PPOs, but the study authors noted that this could be a function of lower prices that HMOs offer. (See link below to get to the report). The best way to see what’s out there is to talk with locally licensed health insurance agents. MostChoice.com – one of the first health insurance Web sites – offers a simple, quick way to get in touch with local agents. All you have to do is fill out a short information request form, and MostChoice will send you free instant quotes from health insurance companies near you. Then, within two days, local insurance agents will contact you to talk about what you’re looking for in an insurance policy. Remember that Web sites are not allowed to offer cheaper prices than insurance agents, so you won’t be spending more on the identical policy if you buy it from an agent. Since there’s no obligation to purchase insurance from the agents that contact you, you are in control. You tell them what you want and wait until one of them delivers the plan that’s right for you. You can visit MostChoice here: http://www.mostchoice.com/health-insurance.cfm Hope this helps, Barnes @ MostChoice.

Does anybody know where I can get cheap car insurance?

Q) I have no accidents or tickets. My husband has 1 accident where he was NOT at fault. We are getting OUTRAGEOUS quotes on insurance for the one vehicle we have which is an 11 year old 4 cyl. SUV. I am a stay-at-home mom & my husband drives approx. 10 miles to work a day. We are at a loss as to why the premiums we are being quoted are so high. We do have a small loan on the vehicle so we need more than just basic liability. Does anyone know of or have good, cheap insurance that you can hook me up with? Thanks!

A) I would try your state's Farm Bureau Insurance company. My husband used them until we got married, and you don't have to be a farmer to use their products. (I think more people don't use them because they assume you have to be a farmer!) They offer EXCEPTIONALLY low rates. Also, there are websites on the internet such as: http://www.progressive.com that allow you to compare car insurance premiums. If you want to save time, you can use a service like this. However, I would almost guarnatee they will not give you the cheapest rates. I would call their competitors personally to get the best rates. Another option would be to call your insurance and ask them to review your premium for cost savings. If they refuse, tell them you have found a cheaper rate and wish to cancel your premium. (This usually lights a fire under their hind end and will cause them to do whatever they can to maintain your business.) You can get a better rate. Your driving record is good, and it sounds like you are established. Just do some shopping. Good luck! :)

Is this insurance quote a good price??? Read more...?

Q) I currently drive a 2 door 2000 Grand Am. My insurance is $415 every six months. I am wanting a Saab 9-3 and my insurance company said if I got a 2006, the VERY MOST would be $501 every six months. But of course, it could be cheaper. Is this a good quote or should I shop around a little more? I'm almost 24 and had one minor wreck 5 years ago that wasn't my fault. It's for full coverage in Gadsden, AL

A) Depending on what company your with it could be a little high. Of course your rates will drop once you turn 25.. It shouldn't matter if the accidnet wasn't your fault, but with a lot of company's it does... So I would recommend shopping around a little, but realize the more you shop around, and the more you supply insurance companys with you ss# to give you a quote, the more it shows up on your credit report as inquiries.. That kind of stuff shows up then to other people when they run a credit check..
